Wow! What an April we have had, a long blog incoming….
The Trials:
Booked!
We are very excited to announce that our very own Joe has been selected to take part in “The Trials” by Dawn King.
In a future when air becomes unbreathable, three adult defendants fight to clear their names. Called to account as a generation responsible for the crisis that’s unfolding, they are being judged by a Jury of twelve teenagers- those paying the price for the actions of their elders. With their own futures hanging in the balance, are they seeking justice- or revenge?
This thrilling story of responsibility and the climate crisis gives a voice to the young people who have no choice but to live with its consequences. Our community co-production with Mansfield Palace goes one step further, empowering young people from Nottingham and Mansfield who will play the part of The Jury, alongside three professional actors.
Joe has been chosen to play one of the twelve teenage jury members!
You can catch Joe at the Nottingham Playhouse Wednesday 14th- Friday 16th of August!
We are so proud of you Joe and can’t wait to watch you!
New Teacher Alert:
The Attic Theatre School is super excited to be welcoming Elise Fairley to our Attic Vocal Team.
A seasoned singing teacher, vocal coach, performance trainer, musical director and choir leader, Elise has traversed both the theatre school and independent school sectors, where she earned a reputation for her exceptional ability to guide and mentor aspiring performers of all levels towards their goals.
Elise spent her formative years immersed in the realm of dancing and musical theatre and went on to be awarded a First Class Honours Degree and Postgraduate Certificate in Vocal and Operatic Studies from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. Drawing from her own experiences, this passion led her to pursue a career as a singing coach, specialising in vocal technique and presentation skills.
